A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF LAKIN, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 1992 SUPP. 79-5028, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE AND ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT.
Section 1.
The City of Lakin, by the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas and as provided by K.S.A. 1992 Supp. 79-5028, as amended, part of an enactment commonly known as the Kansas property tax lid law, which enactment applies to this city but does not apply uniformly to all cities.
Section 2.
The following is hereby substituted for the provisions of K.S.A. 1992 Supp. 79-5028, as amended:
The provisions thereto, shall not limit the levy of taxes by the Governing Body of the City of Lakin.
